Questions are part of the design.
Clear answers about launch status, identity, swiping, AI, scoring, privacy, evidence, and corrections.
Nothing on this page represents a live score or operational application.
Product
Is the app operational?
No. Rate My Representatives is an interactive prelaunch concept in development for Canada and the United States.
How does swiping work?
Swipe right for support, left for concern, tap to open the record, or skip when you need more context.
What happens after I swipe?
The planned signal remains connected to the representative, office, term, participation state, and methodology version.
Can I skip a representative?
Yes. A fast interface must never force a judgment where you need more context.
Will every jurisdiction be covered?
Coverage will expand by verified data source. Gaps will be published instead of hidden.
Identity
What is Digital ID for politicians?
A persistent public-role record connecting a person to the office, district, term, authority, conduct, sources, responses, and corrections.
What is self-sovereign ID for citizens?
A credential model in which citizens control their own credentials and disclose only the permitted claim for a specific civic action.
Who establishes participant attestation?
The planned community-led attestation process sits outside RMR under the Checks and Balances Protocol.
Does proof of human establish residence?
No. Human status, eligibility, residence, and jurisdiction are separate claims and must remain purpose-specific.
Scores and AI
How is the Representative Accountability Score created?
The proposed score combines defined record-analysis factors and separately reported community input through a published, versioned methodology. No score is live.
Does AI decide whether someone is trustworthy?
No. AI may organize and compare records. It cannot manufacture civic opinion or replace accountable human review.
What is Light Mathematics?
The proposed public methodology for factors, weights, exclusions, confidence, versions, and correction rules.
Can a representative challenge a record?
Yes. Responses, disputes, source updates, and corrections should extend the visible timeline.
Privacy and rights
Will citizens receive social credit scores?
No. Citizen identity and civic activity shall not become a generalized political, loyalty, reputation, conformity, or eligibility score.
Can people participate anonymously?
The planned system may display anonymous input, but it will remain visibly separate from authenticated and unverified participation.
What information does RMR receive from the attestation protocol?
The design goal is the minimum permitted status needed for the action, not the underlying identity evidence.
Does blockchain prove a claim is true?
No. A signature, hash, or timestamp can preserve integrity and provenance without proving factual accuracy.
Governance and roadmap
Who operates the project?
Rate My Representatives is a Checks and Balances Committee accountability project.
What is Civic Signal?
The planned consumer briefing surface that monitors sources and asks citizens to make their own decision.
What is Mirror-State?
A proposed structured civic-record layer, not an operational government or source of legal authority.
What is Direct Republic?
A long-term governance vision for more direct participation and visible checks on authority.
