The application
Is the application operational?
No. This is a prelaunch website with illustrative demos and an early-access waitlist. Representative records, civic signals, verification and Civic Agent execution remain in development for Canada and the United States.
Who owns Rate My Representatives?
Rate My Representatives is owned by Checks and Balances Committee Ltd.
What is Civic Ledger?
The separate civic-intelligence infrastructure that maps government and operates the Civic Graph and Mirror State. RMR applies those records to representative accountability.
What does Checks and Balances do?
It provides the separate human-verification and attestation protocol.
Will every jurisdiction be covered?
Coverage will be disclosed by jurisdiction and source. The site does not promise complete coverage.
Your identity
Who owns my civic profile?
You do. Rate My Representatives is an application interface that uses only the profile information and permissions you authorize.
Do I need a VerusID to use RMR?
Not for every form of participation. Authenticated, unverified and anonymous input are intentionally distinguishable. Public representative records should remain readable without authentication.
Does RMR automatically receive my Civic Ledger profile?
No. Portability is initiated by you. Using the same identity does not authorize unrestricted cross-application data access.
Does proof of human establish residence?
No. Human verification, jurisdiction and mission eligibility are separate, purpose-specific proofs.
Does RMR give citizens social-credit scores?
No. Rate public power. Do not rank the population.
Civic Agent authority
Can my Civic Agent rate automatically?
It may execute a response only where you previously granted a sufficiently explicit standing instruction. Otherwise it brings the matter back to you for a decision.
Does the AI decide what I believe?
No. It can compare government activity with rules and interests you supplied. Broad inferred values do not automatically become public political responses.
How will I know who acted?
Direct responses are labeled Human confirmed. Agent execution is labeled Executed under participant standing instruction. These remain separately visible, alongside unverified and anonymous input.
Is a civic signal an official vote?
No. RMR signals are non-binding civic expressions, not official ballots. An agent cannot cast an official election vote.
Evidence and accountability
Is authenticated opinion factual truth?
No. Authentication qualifies participation; it does not make an opinion true. Community signal never proves that an event occurred.
How does the score work?
Public-record analysis, evidence confidence, source coverage, four signal origins and correction status remain separate. A composite may come later through an approved published formula. No score is live.
What happens when evidence is missing?
Unknown is not false. Missing evidence is not misconduct. Unresolved material is held instead of converted into a resolved result.
Can representatives challenge a record?
The planned response, dispute and correction workflow preserves the earlier record and shows how new evidence changes the result.
Does blockchain prove a claim is true?
No. Blockchain provenance can support integrity and attribution, not substantive truth.
Are proposed government models evidence of real conduct?
No. Prototype-State simulations remain separate from observed public records and community civic signals.
