Future civic data will be used only for the stated accountability purpose and labeled according to its source and verification status.

Self-sovereign identity and minimum disclosure

The future application is intended to receive minimum, purpose-specific identity claims rather than the private evidence reviewed by a community committee.

Where the Checks and Balances Protocol establishes a participation attestation, Rate My Representatives should receive only the status required for the defined civic action. The underlying identification documents, photographs, address evidence, and committee dossier should not be transferred unless a future lawful, explicit, and consent-based rule requires it.

Identity and attestation

The planned identity and participant-attestation layer will be established through a community-led committee operating under the Checks and Balances Protocol. Rate My Representatives should receive only the minimum attestation result required for the civic action.

Location

A general location will be used to identify districts. The application will not publish your address or precise location without a separate, explicit action.

Use of information

Email addresses are used for project updates and early access. Future civic data will be used only for the stated accountability purpose and labeled according to its source and verification status.

No Social Credit Covenant

No social credit scores shall be created with this technology by Civic Ledger AI Ltd. or Checks and Balances Committee Ltd., or in any implementation that either company develops, operates, governs, or licenses.

Citizen identity, lawful speech, political beliefs, associations, ratings, petitions, voting choices, evidence submissions, criticism, and use of civic tools shall not be combined into a generalized reputation, conformity, loyalty, eligibility, or trustworthiness score.

Prelaunch signup data, future credential status, and civic participation data shall not be used to determine access to unrelated services, employment, housing, credit, insurance, mobility, benefits, or ordinary civil rights.

Participation labels are not reputation scores

The future application may distinguish current authenticated participation, unverified participation, and anonymous public input. It may also use narrow credential, duplicate, moderation, and evidence-review states.

These purpose-specific states must remain transparent, contestable, and separated. They may not be combined into a portable citizen reputation or social-credit score.
