TypeSafe AI
Typed decisions, confidence and Reinforcement Learning for Calibrated Decisions.
Technical research appendix
The implementation architecture is being designed around four cooperating components. These are integration and research plans, not a deployed production workflow.
Civic Ledger and RMR have access to Jev for integration planning and development.
The planned architecture incorporates TypeSafe Jev for narrowly defined machine decisions where typed probabilistic outputs are preferable to free-form generation. Integration is under development and should not be represented as fully deployed until the production workflow is connected.
Potential functions include entity matching, source classification, record relationship detection, confidence estimation, contradiction flags, coverage classification and routing. Typed outputs do not guarantee correct conclusions.
Semantic-decomposition method for ambiguous civic language.
Before comparing “supported housing”, “raised taxes”, “kept a promise” or “opposed development”, the planned system decomposes the phrase into its narrower possible meanings. It then evaluates bounded evidence questions rather than collapsing ambiguity into a single political judgment.
Uncertainty containment.
If materially unresolved, do not propagate it as resolved. SUPPORTED, NOT SUPPORTED, UNRESOLVED, CONTRADICTORY and INSUFFICIENT EVIDENCE remain distinct. Unknown is not false.
Transparent composition framework.
The proposed framework defines factor relationships, confidence treatment, missing evidence, contradiction handling, exclusions, correction logic, formula versioning and community-signal separation. It is not an oracle, and no final composite formula is approved.
Machine systems help structure the record. Transparent formulas compose the record. People retain authority over political judgment.
These sources document the underlying technologies. They do not establish that RMR’s integrations are deployed. Word Wheels, Void Node and the composition framework are described here as the project’s planned architecture.
