A politician’s digital ID is a persistent, verifiable public-role record for a representative, officeholder, or declared candidate. It connects the correct person to the correct office, jurisdiction, district, term, official identifiers, source-backed public actions, responses, corrections, and accountability history.

It is not a national citizen ID, a government permission slip, a private personal dossier, or a claim that every linked record is true. Evidence quality, source interpretation, response rights, and correction history remain necessary.

A citizen controls the keys, credentials, and disclosures associated with their identity. The platform should request only the minimum claim required for a specific civic action rather than collect or expose an identity dossier.

The planned identity and participant-attestation layer will be established through a community-led committee operating under the Checks and Balances Protocol. The committee confirms the applicable human or participation status. Rate My Representatives should receive only the minimum attestation result permitted by the final rules.

Public representative profiles and source records should remain readable without authentication. Contributions will be labeled according to whether they came from current authenticated participation, unverified participation, or anonymous public input.

Only current authenticated participation may be described as authenticated civic sentiment. Anonymous or unverified activity must never be blended into that signal or presented as verified consensus.

No social credit scores shall be created with this technology by Civic Ledger AI Ltd. or Checks and Balances Committee Ltd., or in any implementation that either company develops, operates, governs, or licenses.

A citizen’s lawful speech, political beliefs, associations, ratings, petitions, voting choices, criticism of public officials, evidence submissions, or use of civic tools shall not be converted into a generalized reputation, conformity, loyalty, eligibility, or trustworthiness score.

Narrow, purpose-specific states—such as whether a credential is current, expired, revoked, or associated with a duplicate submission—must remain transparent, contestable, non-portable, and incapable of being combined into a generalized citizen score.

A representative voluntarily exercises public power and creates a public record. A Representative Accountability Score evaluates the public role, public duties, source-backed conduct, and community response connected to that role.

The score may not govern the representative’s access to ordinary civil rights or unrelated services. It must be source-backed, published, versioned, correctable, role-limited, and separated from citizen identity.
